Last night in a dream it came to me. You know how many paranormal researchers (including myself) detect a "zone of cold" surrounding the site of a paranormal event? A lowering of temperature? Well, I think I have figured something out. Did you notice how the entity I describe as the possible spirit of Crystal has appeared in/with my kitchen stove, and in/with my furnace? In these, and ONLY in these cases was I able to measure gaussian magnetic field effects as well as electrostatic field effects. When the pendant light in the kitchen [which was off at the time] and the window "buzzed" I failed to try to measure the lamp, I didn't know what it was yet and looked for a mechanical reason, but when I measured the window, there were no field energies measured. Also the only places where good quality EVP was recorded was the buzzing stove and inside the furnace, with the best of the two coming from the furnace.

Now my hypothesis. Spirits "absorb heat", thus the zone of cold around a paranormal event. This absorption of heat is required to raise from a lower energy (quiescent) state to a higher energy (active) state whereby we can hear their attempts to communicate. The stove is gas, and the pilot lights emit heat continuously (it will SERIOUSLY BURN YOUR FINGER if you touch the top of the stove, it's that hot ALL THE TIME). The furnace was also hot during the recorded EVP which is the BEST SOUNDING example of EVP I've recoreded ever, not a whisper, but a true little girls voice, clear and easy to hear and understand (click the URL's below). Therefore I summise that heat is required for a spirit entity to produce an EVP signature, the more heat the better the EVP signature! I can also suggest that gaussian random noise (white noise) is also required as the entity made the metal grates on my stove "buzz" the first time, and communicated through the rush of air (white noise) the second time. The furnace produces both heat AND white noise, and woulde be the best place for a spirit to go to try to communicate IF this hypothesis is correct!

For the scientifically minded, I can even explain why this might be true using the laws of physics. It is widely accepted, since the days of Newton, that if you take a high energy state, and reduce it to a lower energy state, heat is produced. An example, a moving car, you apply the brakes, the energy state is taken from a body moving to a body at rest, and the brake pads and rotors dissipate that energy as heat (friction).

The converse is also true. Take for example the three photon parametric process used to raise the energy state of solid state lasers. When you take a low energy color of laser light, [example, red] and fire it through a non-linear crystal, it doubles in frequency, or moves to a higher energy state (the wave is now oscillating twice as fast as before) and the color moves up the spectrum [example, it now becomes blue]. This color shifting technique is widely used because it is easy to make red and infrared lasers, but greens and blues are hard, thus they are now starting to use "doubling crystals" in many applications. It was discovered that you need to externally HEAT the crystal as it gets quite cold and quickly fails to function. Heat is absorbed from the crystal to provide the added energy needed to raise the energy state of the laser light.

I hypothisize that not only gaussian random noise (white noise) is required by spirit entitites, but HEAT as well! Several people have said they hear voices from their furnace, well that's an example of both heat (hot air) and gaussian waves (the rushing white noise of the moving air). Thus, the missing piece in the puzzle is heat! Use heat in conjunction with the EVP Stimulator and I think we might be moving much closer to our goal! I propose an experiment, light up a gas blowtorch near the EVP Stimulator while in operation and see if together the results improve. I am suggesting a blowtorch as maybe it's natural gas (both my stove and furnace are gas) that plays a part in this, and also that blow torches are very hot, the EVP effects recorded in the much hotter furnace were superior to the effects recorded over the stove (much cooler).

I may have flashed upon the missing key to communication with the spirit world. Now we all have to use this hypothesis and experiment to see if this is true. Let's all start adding gas generated heat to our EVP recording attempts and see what we get! I have a feeling we're now close!

(Jill, Karen, Please spread this information to the EVP and Paranormal community for me when you have time. I need to get back to work I have much to do. I'll experiment myself once the workload lets up a bit...)
